General Questions
Are you fully insured?
Yes! Power Clean is fully insured for your peace of mind. Our experienced team is trained to work safely and professionally on residential and commercial properties throughout Central Ohio. You can feel confident knowing your property is in good hands while we complete your service.
Will my appointment be rescheduled if it rains?
Will my appointment be rescheduled if it rains?
Not necessarily. Unlike many exterior cleaning companies, we can often complete window cleaning even in the rain. Rainwater itself is generally clean and won’t make professionally cleaned windows dirty. However, if severe weather, high winds, lightning, or other unsafe conditions are expected, we’ll contact you to reschedule your appointment at the earliest available time. Your safety, our team’s safety, and the quality of our work are always our top priorities.
Do you offer free estimates?
Absolutely. We provide free, no-obligation estimates for all of our services, including window cleaning, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning, and awning cleaning. Contact us by phone or through our online form, and we’ll be happy to provide a personalized estimate.
Do I need to be home during my appointment?
Not always. For many exterior services, you don’t need to be home as long as we have access to the areas being cleaned and we’ve discussed the details ahead of time. If you’re scheduling interior window cleaning, someone will need to be present to provide access.
How can I pay?
We offer a variety of convenient payment options to make the process as easy as possible. We accept all major credit cards, cash, checks, ACH bank transfers, Venmo, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Payment is typically due after your service is completed. If you have any questions about payment methods or billing, we’re always happy to help.
Do you offer recurring service plans?
Yes! Many of our customers choose recurring service to keep their homes and businesses looking their best year-round. We offer discounted recurring cleaning plans for residential window cleaning, including 10% off bi-annual service, 15% off quarterly service, and 20% off monthly service. Quarterly and monthly plans also include one free track cleaning each year and unlimited complimentary rain touch-ups between scheduled visits.
What areas do you serve?
Power Clean proudly serves homeowners and businesses throughout Central Ohio, including Newark, Granville, Heath, Pataskala, Pickerington, Johnstown, New Albany, Lancaster, Zanesville, Reynoldsburg, and many surrounding communities. If you’re unsure whether we service your area, just give us a call—we’re happy to help.
How long has Power Clean been in business?
Power Clean has proudly served Central Ohio since 2002. Over the years, we’ve built our reputation by providing reliable service, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer care. Whether we’re cleaning a single-family home or a large commercial property, our goal is always the same—to deliver outstanding results and a great customer experience.
Window Cleaning
How often should I have my windows professionally cleaned?
Most homeowners schedule professional window cleaning twice a year. Homes near trees, lakes, busy roads, construction, or hard water may benefit from more frequent cleanings. Regular cleaning helps keep your windows clear, protects the glass, and improves the overall appearance of your home or business.
Do you clean both inside and outside windows?
Yes. We offer exterior-only window cleaning as well as complete interior and exterior window cleaning. We can also clean interior glass, including office doors and mirrors. During your estimate, we’ll discuss what areas you’d like cleaned so your service matches your needs.
Do you clean window screens?
Yes. We can clean window screens as part of your window cleaning service. Clean screens help your windows look better and reduce the dirt and dust that can transfer back onto freshly cleaned glass.
Can you remove hard water stains from windows?
Light hard water spots and mineral buildup can often be improved with professional cleaning. Heavier staining may require additional restoration work depending on how long the deposits have been on the glass.
How high can you clean windows?
Depending on the job and the safety of our crew, we can clean up to five stories high using our professional water-fed pole system. This specialized equipment allows us to clean many hard-to-reach windows from the ground while delivering outstanding, streak-free results. For properties that require additional access, we also have the equipment and experience to safely clean higher and more challenging windows.
Will rain make my windows dirty again?
Rain itself does not usually make clean windows dirty. Spots are typically caused by dust, pollen, or debris already on the glass or surrounding frames. Clean windows often stay looking great even after normal rainfall.
Pressure Washing
Do you use pressure washing or soft washing?
We use both. The best cleaning method depends on the surface we’re cleaning. Durable surfaces like concrete and some brick are typically cleaned with pressure washing, while more delicate materials such as vinyl siding, stucco, painted surfaces, and some roofs are cleaned using a soft washing process. We always choose the safest and most effective method to deliver outstanding results without causing damage.
What surfaces can you clean?
We clean a wide variety of exterior surfaces, including driveways, sidewalks, patios, decks, fences, concrete, brick, retaining walls, siding, pool areas, and many other residential and commercial surfaces. If you’re unsure whether we can clean a particular surface, just ask—we’re happy to help.
Will pressure washing remove mold, mildew, and algae?
Yes. Our cleaning process is designed to safely remove dirt, mold, mildew, algae, moss, and other organic buildup from exterior surfaces. Not only does this improve your property’s appearance, but it can also help protect surfaces from premature deterioration.
Can pressure washing damage my property?
Not when it’s done by trained professionals. Using too much pressure or the wrong cleaning technique can damage certain surfaces. That’s why we carefully evaluate every project and use the appropriate equipment and cleaning method for each job. Our goal is to safely restore your property’s appearance while protecting your investment.
How often should I have my home pressure washed?
In our area, most homes benefit from professional exterior cleaning every year. Homes with heavy tree coverage, significant shade, or frequent exposure to dirt, algae, and mildew may benefit from more frequent cleanings to keep surfaces looking their best.
Do I need to be home during pressure washing?
Not usually. As long as we have access to the areas being cleaned and we’ve discussed the details beforehand, most exterior pressure washing and soft washing services can be completed while you’re away.
Can you remove rust stains or oil stains?
Many rust stains, oil stains, and other tough discolorations can be significantly improved, but results depend on the type of stain, the surface, and how long it has been present. We’ll always evaluate the area and let you know what results you can realistically expect before we begin.
Gutter Cleaning
How often should I have my gutters cleaned?
Most homes benefit from professional gutter cleaning twice a year—typically once in the spring and once in the fall. Homes surrounded by mature trees may require more frequent cleanings to prevent clogs and water damage.
Do you clean the downspouts too?
Yes. Every gutter cleaning includes checking and clearing the downspouts to ensure water flows properly away from your home. A clean gutter system isn’t complete unless the downspouts are flowing freely.
What happens to the leaves and debris?
We remove the leaves, sticks, and debris from your gutters and dispose of them properly. We also clean up the work area before we leave so your property is left neat and tidy.
Can clogged gutters damage my home?
Yes. Clogged gutters can cause water to overflow, leading to roof damage, wood rot, foundation problems, landscape erosion, and basement moisture issues. Regular gutter cleaning helps protect your home by allowing rainwater to drain properly.
Do you inspect my gutters while you're cleaning them?
Yes. As we clean, we’ll let you know if we notice any obvious issues such as loose gutters, damaged sections, leaking seams, or other concerns that may need attention. While we’re not gutter repair specialists, we’re happy to point out anything that may require repairs.
Do I need to be home for gutter cleaning?
Not usually. As long as we have access to your property and we’ve discussed the details beforehand, we can complete most gutter cleaning services while you’re away.
Solar Panel Cleaning
Why should solar panels be professionally cleaned?
Over time, dirt, pollen, bird droppings, leaves, and other debris can build up on your solar panels, reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches the cells. Professional cleaning helps keep your panels operating efficiently and looking their best.
How often should solar panels be cleaned?
Most solar panel systems benefit from professional cleaning twice a year. However, homes near trees, agricultural areas, or busy roads may require more frequent cleanings due to increased dirt, pollen, and debris.
Can dirty solar panels reduce energy production?
Absolutely. A layer of dirt or debris can block sunlight from reaching the solar cells, which may reduce your system’s efficiency. Keeping your panels clean helps maximize the amount of sunlight they receive and supports optimal energy production.
Is solar panel cleaning safe?
Yes. We use specialized equipment, purified water, and cleaning methods designed specifically for solar panels. Our process safely removes dirt and debris without using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the panels.
Do you use soap or chemicals?
No. We use purified water and professional water-fed pole systems to safely clean solar panels without leaving behind residue. This method helps produce a spotless finish while protecting the panels and their performance.
Can you clean roof-mounted solar panels?
Typically, yes. Depending on your roof, our professional water-fed pole system allows us to safely clean many roof-mounted solar panels from the ground, eliminating the need to walk on your roof in many situations. If additional access is required, we’ll evaluate the safest approach before beginning the job.
Awning Cleaning
What types of awnings do you clean?
We professionally clean many types of residential and commercial awnings, including fabric and vinyl awnings. If you’re unsure whether we can clean your specific awning, just contact us—we’re happy to take a look.
Can you remove mold, mildew, and black streaks?
Yes. Our cleaning process is designed to safely remove dirt, mold, mildew, algae, and many common stains that build up on awnings over time. While some older or deeply embedded stains may not come out completely, most awnings see a dramatic improvement after professional cleaning.
Will cleaning damage my awning?
No. We use cleaning methods that are appropriate for the material of your awning. Our goal is to safely restore its appearance while protecting the awning from unnecessary wear.
Do you clean commercial awnings?
Yes. We clean awnings for both residential and commercial properties, including storefronts, office buildings, restaurants, and other businesses. A clean awning helps create a great first impression for your customers.
Can you remove bird droppings and tree sap?
Yes. Bird droppings, tree sap, pollen, and other environmental contaminants can often be safely removed during the cleaning process. Results may vary depending on the type of stain and how long it has been present.
